The large square belly scales run in an orderly grid beneath a smooth, low-sheen finish. Cut and hand-stitched to order at the XILUGS workshop in Ha Noi, with olive stitching that sits quietly inside the pattern.

Cut flat and slim so it sits close to the wrist and slides easily under a cuff. Tonal olive hand-stitching runs the full length, sitting quietly inside the pattern, and the edges are painted and burnished by hand. A soft Zermatt lining sits against the wrist — or choose an Epsom or Togo lining. Every strap is cut and stitched to the size, buckle and finishing you specify. Free engraving of up to 12 characters on the lining is available.

Specification

Material

Alligator

Colour

Black Chartreuse

Profile

Flat

Stitching

Olive, hand-stitched

Buckle

Stainless steel

Lug width

12–24 mm, in pairs — custom sizes made to measure

Length

105/65 – 135/105 mm, or your own measurement

Thickness

Made to your specification

Lining

Zermatt

Finishing

Hand-painted edge

Made in

Ha Noi, Vietnam

Finish

Semi-gloss

Scale pattern

Square belly — large, even tiles

About alligator

Alligator is the long-standing benchmark for luxury watch straps — prized for its raised natural scales, the soft sheen of the surface, and a richness calf leather cannot replicate. Each hide is unique, the leather wears in slowly, and it develops a quiet character over years rather than months. Genuine alligator leather from CITES-documented hides, sourced from licensed tanneries.

FAQ

Which lug width and length should I order?

Measure the gap between your watch lugs in millimetres; that is your lug width. We make this alligator strap in pairs from 12 to 24 mm (for example 20/18 or 22/20 mm) and in lengths from 105/65 to 135/105 mm for wrists of roughly 14 to 22.5 cm; larger wrists can be made to measure. See our size guide for step-by-step help.

How do I care for an alligator strap?

Wipe the scales with a soft, dry cloth, working along the scale pattern. Keep the strap away from soaking, swimming and direct heat, which can dull the finish and stiffen the hide; if it gets wet, blot it and let it air-dry naturally. Rotating it with another strap and storing it flat helps it keep its shape.

How long does delivery to the US take?

Every strap is cut and stitched to order in our Ha Noi workshop in 3–5 business days, then ships to the US for a flat $5.99 with 10–12 days in transit. Orders over $350 ship free.
