The square scale pattern gives the strap a structured appearance. Each hide has its own arrangement of scales, so no two straps are identical.

Cut flat and slim so it sits close to the wrist and slides easily under a cuff. Tone-on-tone hand-stitching follows the edges, which are finished by hand to match the leather. Every strap is made in the size, buckle and finishing you specify, and nothing is cut until those are set. A soft Zermatt lining sits against the wrist. Free engraving of up to 12 characters on the lining is available.

Specification

Material

Genuine alligator leather

Colour

Nude

Profile

Flat

Scale pattern

Square Scale

Stitching

Tone-on-tone, saddle-stitched by hand

Buckle pictured

Silver-coloured classic pin buckle

Edge

Hand-finished to match the leather

Lug width

12–24 mm, in pairs — custom sizes made to measure

Thickness options

2.5, 3.5 or 4.5 mm at the lug end

Length

105/65–135/105 mm, or your own measurement

Lining

Zermatt

Made in

Ha Noi, Vietnam

About alligator leather

Alligator is the long-standing benchmark for luxury watch straps — prized for its raised natural scales, the soft sheen of the surface, and a richness calf leather cannot replicate. Each hide is unique, the leather wears in slowly, and it develops a quiet character over years rather than months. Genuine alligator leather from CITES-documented hides, sourced from licensed tanneries.

FAQ

Which lug width and length should I order?

Measure the gap between your watch lugs in millimetres; that is your lug width. We make this alligator strap in pairs from 12 to 24 mm (for example 20/18 or 22/20 mm) and in lengths from 105/65 to 135/105 mm for wrists of roughly 14 to 22.5 cm. Custom sizes and longer lengths are made to measure. See our size guide for step-by-step help.

How do I care for an alligator strap?

Wipe the scales with a soft, dry cloth, working along the scale pattern. Keep the strap away from soaking, swimming and direct heat, which can dull the finish and stiffen the hide; if it gets wet, blot it and let it air-dry naturally. Rotating it with another strap and storing it flat helps it keep its shape.

How long does delivery to the US take?

Every strap is cut and stitched to order in our Ha Noi workshop in 3–5 business days, then ships to the US for a flat $5.99 with 10–12 days in transit. Orders over $350 ship free.
