On a sparse quill skin the bumps sit further apart than on a full quill, so the strap keeps the unmistakable ostrich signature without the dense field of dots. The spacing changes across the skin, and no two crowns run alike.

Cut flat and slim so it sits close to the wrist and slides easily under a cuff. Contrast white hand-stitching runs the full length, and the edges are painted and burnished by hand. Fitted with quick release spring bars, so you can change the strap without tools. Free engraving of up to 12 characters on the lining is available.

Specification

Material

Sparse quill ostrich

Ostrich type

Sparse quill — raised follicle bumps, spaced further apart than full quill

Colour

Red

Profile

Flat

End shape

Straight as pictured — curved end available (+$15)

Spring bars

Quick release (as pictured)

Stitching

White, hand-stitched

Buckle

Stainless steel

Thickness

Made to your specification

Finishing

Hand-painted edge

Made in

Ha Noi, Vietnam

Lug width

12–24 mm, in pairs — custom sizes made to measure

Length

105/65 – 135/105 mm, or your own measurement

FAQ

Which lug width and length should I order?

Measure the gap between your watch lugs in millimetres; that is your lug width. Ostrich is supple and hard-wearing, but avoid swimming or soaking it; if it gets wet, blot it and let it air-dry away from direct heat. A small amount of neutral leather conditioner a few times a year keeps it soft.

How long does delivery to the US take?

Every strap is cut and stitched to order in our Ha Noi workshop in 3–5 business days, then ships to the US for a flat $5.99 with 10–12 days in transit.
