Lug & Buckle Width
Lug width is the gap between the two lugs of your watch case, where the strap fits. Your strap has to match it exactly.
Most watches are 18, 20 or 22 mm. Measure inner edge to inner edge with a ruler — or flip your old strap over: the width is often printed inside.
Our sizes read lug / buckle: 20 / 18 mm is 20 mm at the watch, 18 mm at the buckle. Only the first number has to match your watch.

Buckle width
The width of the strap where the buckle sits — the second number in our sizes. 20 / 18 mm means 18 mm at the buckle.
Every strap comes with a matching buckle. Keeping your own? Measure across the inside of its frame and choose Custom.

Strap Length Guide
Every strap has two parts: the long end with the holes and the short end with the buckle. 115 / 70 mm means 115 mm long, 70 mm short.
Wrap a soft tape — or a paper strip — just above the wrist bone. Snug, not tight. Then find your size below.

Straight or curved end?
This is the end of the strap that meets your watch case.
Straight end — cut straight across. Fits almost any watch; a small gap at the case is normal.
Curved end — cut in an arc to follow the round edge of the case, so the strap sits flush with no gap. Tell us your watch brand and model and we’ll match the curve.
Not sure? Choose Straight — it fits everything.

A good rule: the thicker the watch case, the thicker the strap can be.
Check the gap between your lugs and the case. Some watches have a tight gap, and a thick padded strap may not fit. If unsure, send us a photo of your watch in the Note / Watch Photo fields and we'll confirm before cutting.

The leather
Smooth Ostrich Leather
Smooth ostrich is the same hide away from the quill crown — the skin between and below the follicle patch. It has no raised bumps at all: a fine, even, faintly pebbled surface with a soft matte sheen. It is the quieter half of the same skin, and it behaves the same way in the hand — supple, strong for its weight, deep in colour. Choose it when you want ostrich's feel without the pattern announcing itself.
Built for daily wear
Watch Strap Structure
Every strap is built around the three details that decide how it lives on your wrist — not the ones that photograph well.
-
01
Quick release spring bars
Choose quick release or regular spring bars. We fit them before it ships, so you can change straps in seconds — no tools, no scratched lugs.
-
02
Soft Zermatt lining
The underside is lined with soft, water-resistant Zermatt — comfortable against the skin all day, and in warm weather.
-
03
Your name on the lining
Initials or a name, hand-stamped into the lining free of charge, so the piece on your wrist is one of one.
