Product description

Flat Coffee Brown Patina Leather Watch Strap — 100% handcrafted in our workshop in Ha Noi.

Hand-Dyed Patina in Coffee Brown: a coffee brown burnished dark along both edges, leaving the centre bright. Cut flat and even from lug to buckle, so the strap sits low under a cuff.

Cut, edged and saddle-stitched by hand as a single piece of work. A soft Zermatt lining sits against the wrist, and the edge is burnished and then hand-painted to match. Every strap is made in the size, buckle and finishing you specify, and nothing is cut until those are set. Free engraving of up to 12 characters on the lining is available.

About hand-dyed patina

A patina strap is coloured by hand, in layers, on a light vegetable-tanned calfskin. The dye is worked in and rubbed back where the maker wants light, so the strap shifts from deep to bright across its length instead of sitting at one flat tone.

FAQ

Which lug width and length should I order?

Measure the gap between your watch lugs in millimetres; that is your lug width. We make this hand-dyed patina strap in pairs from 12 to 24 mm (for example 20/18 or 22/20 mm) and in lengths from 105/65 to 135/105 mm for wrists of roughly 14 to 22.5 cm. Custom sizes are made to measure. See our size guide for step-by-step help.

How do I care for a hand-dyed patina strap?

Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth after wear. The vegetable-tanned leather under the dye darkens gently with time and light, which deepens the patina. Avoid swimming or soaking it; if it gets wet, blot it and let it air-dry away from direct heat. A little neutral leather conditioner a few times a year keeps it supple — try it on the underside first.

How long does delivery to the US take?

Every strap is cut and stitched to order in our Ha Noi workshop in 3–5 business days, then ships to the US for a flat $5.99 with 10–12 days in transit. Orders over $350 ship free. Any import duties are the customer's responsibility.

Shipping & delivery

Every piece is made to order and leaves our Ha Noi workshop in 3–5 days. After that:

  • United States — $5.99, delivered in 10–12 days
  • Canada — $15, delivered in 10–12 days
  • Europe, Australia & New Zealand — $15, delivered in 12–15 days

Free shipping from $350. One flat rate per order however many pieces it holds, and every parcel is tracked.

Return & refund

Returns or exchanges within 30 days of delivery, or at any point a defect appears.

Watch Strap Structure

Every strap is built around the three details that decide how it lives on your wrist — not the ones that photograph well.

  1. 01

    Quick release spring bars

Choose quick release or regular spring bars. We fit them before it ships, so you can change straps in seconds — no tools, no scratched lugs.

  2. 02

    Soft Zermatt lining

The underside is lined with soft, water-resistant Zermatt — comfortable against the skin all day, and in warm weather.

  3. 03

    Your name on the lining

Initials or a name, hand-stamped into the lining free of charge, so the piece on your wrist is one of one.

PACKAGING

Every strap arrives in a wooden box

No envelopes, no plastic mailers. Every XILUGS order ships in our own wooden box, lined with a shock-absorbing foam insert that holds up to four straps securely in place. A spring bar tool is tucked inside, so you can fit your new strap the day it arrives, and the box keeps your collection safe long after.

  • Wooden box with every order

Strap appears to be really well made and the leather looks amazing. I will be wearing the watch often now so we will see how it holds up over time!
